Dropped phone calls and moments of silence

I've been a long time HTC owner. Had been using an M7 for the past few years until they finally came out with a phone I thought was a true replacement. Overall very happy with the 10 but I have noticed I am getting quite a few dropped calls in the same locations I never noticed any issues before with the M7. Also, there will be odd moments of silence but not actually drop the call. The people on the other end say the same thing when it happens. Anyone else feel there is not as good phone service (reception) with their 10? Also, I don't feel the blue tooth connection is as strong as the M7 either.

Id check with the enhanced voice settings or VoLTE stuff. I seem to recall seeing another thread with Samsung S7 having similar issues and it was related to one of those two. Enhanced Voice settings or VoLTE.

Should I turn off HD Voice and video calling? The VoLTE is not activated.

I am seeing same issues on tmobile with unlocked htc10. People can hear me but i cant hear them. Happened alot lately. Volte enabled.

I experience this problem too, but I have found that it usually depends on who you are calling. I just did a test with a friend's cell phone and a land line. I called the land line 10 times in a row and there is never a problem. But when calling my friend's cell phone, it is random. Would go silent the first time, then be ok the next 2 times, then silent again, and so forth. Also, my friend's cell phone is set so that it only rings one time, and then the voice mail picks up. I know this from looking at the top right of the phone screen where it says "Dialing", and when the call connects, you will see a time counter. When the time counter is running, it is still silent.

I think this is a T-Mobile issue. When I was with them 6 months ago I had a note 5 and iPhone 6plus. This happened all the time. So much so that it's the reason I left T-Mobile.

Here is yet another reason why when doing these phone reviews they rarely test the actual phone calls and reception.....geez some of us still make phone calls. Its all about the performance and camera.....please get back to the simple functions like a darn phone call in these reviews. I'm referring to all new reviews not just for HTC.

Make sure you turn off high speed transfer after use, it seems that affects phone calls.
