DTVN + Apple TV 4K + Android is there a better remote?

I just purchased 2 4K Apple TVs for streaming TV. We've had the Roku stick and Fire stick but even on a 1Gbps internet connection live TV buffered on all services so I had to break down and get the Apple TV (not easy for an Apple hater like me).

While the buffering is gone, the fast forward and rewind on the Apple TV remote leaves a lot to be desired.

Does anyone have experience with an Android app to use as the remote of the Apple TV? Is one better then others?
