Dual boot?

Is it possible to dual boot with the GS3? I've been thinking about it, and i like aspects of both Android and Windows. Is this possible, or just wishful thinking?

You mean boot a Windows Phone OS on the GS3? No, that's not possible, dual boot or just installing WP by itself. There is no WP Kernel that I'm aware of to interface WP to the GS3 hardware. If you want WP, I'm afraid Nokia is your next best friend.

But! Samsung has announced that they are making a windows 8 phone that'll be coming out in the next month or 2. But Meyers right, the kernel is completely different from android. And therefore would never work.


But does anyone know if a dualboot is possible? Like having a custom rom, and also being able to boot into a stock like touchwiz rom? That would be sweet!

Dual booting the gs3 would be an amaizing concept but i fear a concept is all it will ever be.. how would you begin? Just partioning an external sd card, or would the phones ram also need to be split? And would the resulting comoputing power be enough to smothly run an os? Some one would need to develop a boot loader too. I know android in a linux base but how similar are they? Im using a pretty clean bootloader on my laptop, it shows my main ubuntu partiotion, win7 and recoveries for both os'. Something like that would be so cool haha.

Actually, there was a dual boot capability what worked with CM9, but apparently not with newer versions of CM. That's the only dual boot i've heard of.
