Dual clock widget continuously freezing

So I haven't had any problems with my N5 with the exception of my dual clock widget continuously freezing. There are times when it works for hours without a hiccup. But majority of the time, it freezes and the only way to fix it is by either restarting my phone or resetting the locations on the widget. Ive cleared the cache via application manager, cleared the cache via restore mode, and I've even hard reset my device. No luck has come from any of those attempts. Hopefully someone can chime in with some advice or help on what other steps I can take to get it working properly again.
