Dumbest question yet

So I have had my 360 for about 3 weeks now. Gets a lot of attention, mostly positive. I have had quite a few people ask what watch it was, but 1 caught me by suprise. Yes, I actually had someone ask me if it was the Apple watch.

Never underestimate the technical dumbness of the human species. We may be finding oxygen on planets in other systems, but we're still apes swinging through the trees when it comes to the average person's ability to think. Most of them just assume they're thinking when they're just rearranging their tiny bit of existing knowledge. If you hit your face every time you met someone that dumb, you'd be looking at your back through binoculars. Most of them just aren't stupid enough to tell you how unknowing they are, they leave you wondering.

You should have said yes and showed him all the features, he probably would have been amazed and asked you where you got it.

....after they've seen I USE A GALAXY S5.

Well I'm not surprised. EVERYBODY knows that Apple INVENTED the smartwatch. Just listen to what all the media are saying. </sarcasm>

I do sometimes get interest from people though haven't yet had someone ask if it's the apple watch. However when there's mention about the apple watch, such as they heard it will be better, I tell them:

"and you'd think apple, being focused on design would be the ones to come out with a beautiful round face watch such as this one (m360)"

Haha, I then get a look on their faces:

"what the?, wait why isn't apple doing round too??"

It's all good though, they will pacify each other by sending each other their heartbeats ;-)

(don't get me wrong, I do like that Apple also coming out with smartwatch, helps this ecosystem as whole grow, apps, etc, competition is always welcome in my book)

It's not really that dumb of a question. Gotta remember most folks aren't nearly as tech savvy as you (and most of us here). Someone just hears the phrase "Apple Watch" and doesn't know anything about what it looks like or when it comes out. Maybe don't even know that Samsung and Moto watches exist.

Every day I get asked if mine is the Apple watch. Also every time I use my Note 4 to pay with tap and pay I get asked if it is the new iPhone. Grrrrrrrrrrrrrr.......

Yep. This. People ask me all the time if my Gear Live is an Apple watch. Kids recognize it as Samsung for the most part but adults are clueless.

The thing to remember before we go bashing people for being stupid is the average person doesn't care. I was taking pictures at a park and a lady asked me if my phone was a 4 or 5. No use in explaining it's a Moto. Just be polite and move on.

Looking forward to the compliments for the new 360 though.

I'm in car sales at an independent dealer and I get compliments on it daily. Also it's a valuable tool because I run cost sheets on Google Keep so while someone is checking out a car I can easily privately view cost on a vehicle without anyone noticing!
