Will you ditch Android for the iPhone?

Anyone considering the iPhone now that it has been officially announced by Verizon? I am not a fanboy and I LOVE my Incredible but I might have to make the switch. I've always wanted an iPhone but never wanted to switch to AT&T and could never keep a phone long enough for my contract with VZW to end!

Even if I was on Verizon I wouldn't dump the Incredible for the IPhone. Helzzzz Noooo.

To go from a Dinc to iphone would be a step backwards IMO. I will be waiting to see the Thunderbolt for my next upgrade.

It would be more likely if it were actually a new Iphone, it's just a CDMA version of phone release several months ago.

To each their own, but I can't see what the iPhone 4 has over the other great stuff on Verizon now, not to mention what is coming out in the next 2-3 months from CES and MWC. It also has no LTE, so I hear.
Multiple home screens, widgets, easy multi-tasking and turn-by-turn nav are all game changers for me. Battery life is a big plus for the iPhone, though not enough to offset the other stuff.
I really dislike the hunt-and-peck iOS UI, personally.

My upgrade doesn't kick in until 1/4/12. And unless HTC dazzles me with another new Sense phone by then (that Thunderbolt is looking real sweet!), I will hang on to my Droid Incredible, the greatest phone I have ever owned. I just love Sense UI. With Apple's non-customer friendly support and the company's overall Sony-like arrogance, I will never have more then a passive interest in their products (i.e. likely to play with them, never to buy them). I love the flexibility of the Android OS and it is something I will stay with. The Droid Incredible helped me in that decision.

I had an ipod which was. But itunes, imho, is awful. The fact u can't plug your iPhone into any computer and use it like a jump drive is silly. The only plus to an iPhone is the better life and smooth touch interface. I think its kinda funny also that people jailbreak their iPhone to do what androids can do out of the box. Overall the iPhone is a great device but I love the androids.

Na...LTE is the future and the Bionic is the future. I have been in situations where I have used upgrades only to find out something new is coming out in a couple of weeks. I'll wait until the release of the Bionic before I upgrade. If this was back on April 29, 2010 I would have went to the iPhone. But since its not then I am here and here to stay. Android forever!

No way.....not now that I've experience android. If I never owned an android, I would probably take the iphone. Now that I HAVE a DINC, I would never switch. I will hold on to this Dinc until something blows it out of the water (or I brick it from playing around too much). BEST phone I've ever had. There is nothing the iphone does except auto sync with itunes that my droid can't do. Personally, I've always been a big fan of Apple. I only use a MAC, except at work where I'm forced to use an outdated PC. I would still pick a ipad over a tablet (although I own neither because there is no practical use for it). Even when I do decide to get an ipad, I can buy the wifi only for much less, and tether to my DINC for free. Try that with an iphone. Also the free turn by turn navigation. Sure, with an iphone you can pay garmin $40 for the same feature but don't hold your breath for any map updates.

Personally, I hate the Iphone OS, all the phone is is one big app drawer that you can switch around the icons. If I can't customize the way I want it, I will hate it. No doubt it's got its own awesomeness, but I'll take my Dinc any day of the week and twice on sunday. The only plus the iphone has is better battery life. Until I can change my own battery, and add my own memory card, I won't take an iphone.

I'm not going anywhere. Then again, this might not be the most representative crowd to poll on things like this ;)

If and when I upgrade in would be the Thunderbolt before the Iphone. Wait and see how much 4G is going to cost before upgrading. Iphone is just making Jobs and Apple richer! Not with my money!

The battery goes out on the iphone it is attached to it I don't like the iphone. I am really in love with my Incredible did I say in love? well yes I did and I have friends who are envious of it and one is an iphone owner

it is a matter of choice. I am glad for Verizon though. It will bring more business to Verizon. WE ALREADY KNOW HOW GREAT BID RED IT !

I don't really care that it's on Verizon. I just hope Verizon doesn't change its marketing to appease 'ol Steve. "Droid does" was always a shot at what iPhone doesn't. I hope they keep up the "droid" marketing and let Apple handle the chipper, perky iPhone marketing.

Oh, if/when they Bing an otherwise killer Android phone, I will be pissed. What are the chances they put their crapware on the iPhone?

Having been an original iPhone owner and then 3GS the announcement interests me but I have no intentions of returning as of now. I switched to verizon from ATT because the area I was moving to had absolutely no ATT 3G coverage and I wasn't going to pay the data premium for crappy service so I switched to the incredible. For me both have their positives and negatives but for now android has more positives. Gmail, calendars, and google voice integration alone are enough to make me keep the incredible. At first the app selection was in favor of the iPhone, but now pretty much every app I used regularly on the iPhone is available for the droid. I do prefer a sense-less android rom so I had to root but my iPhone was jailbroken too. The only other good thing about the iPhone was battery life but being able to swap batteries and have a spare outweighs the iPhone because I could kill the iPhone with heavy use within 12 to 15 hours. Plus the dinc has more battery options, like the 3500 for days when I'll be at work for 12 hours. Just my 2 cents. I'm waiting for the thunderbolt for my next phone, but itunes integration would sure be nice, doubletwist is a little buggy for me.

I won't go for iPhone until it allows the customization of android, has a larger screen, and is LTE capable. I was disappointed that the Thunderbolt didn't have HDMI out, so I'll stick to my DInc. for the time being. The only real reason for the iPhone is that I am a Mac computer user and I like the itunes integration.
