I played a bit of Dungeon Defenders to see how well it performed on this phone. At first the frame rate would dip quite noticeably, which was odd to me. I jumped back to the home screen and the entire phone crashed. Hmm. I tried it again and it works perfectly, frame rate seemed very high and smooth. I go back to my System Info app to see how much RAM the game is using, and DD uses 122MB of RAM! That's insane! How does DD not crash other phones? When I played this game on previous devices, I never remembered it using so much RAM. Do other high end games use this much ram?
On a stock Sensation there is simply no way around this. Sense 3.0 by itself uses a butt load of RAM and only has enough left over for simple apps, not high end games. I'm not mad myself because I don't really play high end games on my smartphone, but it does kind of suck. Once it gets rooted this will all be fixed no doubt, but this is just crazy. It never happened on my G2x, XOOM, or myTouch 4G, really unexpected.
HTC really should have put 1GB of RAM in this phone because Sense 3.0 uses so much of it.
