I have a fairly minor gripe about certain apps (Kindle, Amazon mp3, etc.) that are available from both the Android Market and the Amazon App store. It seems every time there's an update available for these apps, both the Market and the Amazon App Store notify me, but at different times. For instance, today the Market notified me of the Amazon mp3 update, so I downloaded it and installed it, and then later tonight the Amazon App Store told me the same thing. I didn't see an option to clear the Updates Available section, so I just went ahead and did it again so it would stop telling me there is an update available.
I guess my question is why don't the Market and/or Amazon App Store check to see which version I have installed instead of just notifying me whenever an update is available? Do others encounter this situation, and if so, how do you handle it?
