I have 2 contacts with the same name but different info under each contact. How do I delete one of the contacts? I can't do delete through duplicate contacts. One contact has the info I need. The other same contact just has an email address that's no longer valid. I can't find a way to just delete it.

Under contacts I can get to the screen with the 3 dots. The only options are link, send contact, print, edit tabs.

Open people and click on the word phonebook. See if you have more than one selected. If you do uncheck one.

I had the same problem. I went into my Yahoo contacts and edited them that way. I believe you'll find the same situation possibly in your Google contacts also.

Thanks for this info here. However can i throw a twist into it which I am having?

The duplicate numbers only show up when I go to text someone using Messaging + on the Samsung S5. When I bring up the contact list to send a text THAT is when i see all of the same names and numbers displayed which is LENGTHY to say the least! Any ideas on this one?

I'm having the same issue as Gunny Fitz.....it's very annoying to see 75+ entries for the same person/number. Any help in getting this resolved would be greatly appreciated. :p
