I was hoping I wasn't the only one....
Well we've had a couple of people chime in with similar issues but not exactly the same so in a way that's good. If it was rampant and happening to a lot of people that might mean it was something that couldn't be solved. Since it is just you, well at least to this extent, that should give you hope that the device can act normally.
Do you know how to get into Safe Mode?
You also understand that you'll have to stay in Safe Mode for at least a day, correct? If this issue occurs everyday you should probably stay in Safe Mode for at least a day or until it happens. Obviously if it occurs Safe Mode isn't helping and staying in it longer than that would be pointless. However if you make it the entire day, when you're sure it would have happened on any typical day, and nothing happens it is most likely a bad app.
Since we're exploring the possibility of a bad app maybe we can narrow down which app it could be.
Are all of your apps from the Play Store, Galaxy Store or Amazon App Store? Any app downloaded from a website is automatically suspect. This includes security apps, anti-virus apps and malware apps. This is my personal opinion but these types of apps, even when from a legit source like the three app stores I mentioned, seem to do the opposite of what they claim. They are even more suspect if they come from random sites where there is zero oversight.
Do you have any notably low rated apps? Typically, and this is just my opinion, I stay away from being the first to the party. Apps with less than 300 to 500 thousand downloads don't get downloaded onto my devices. Apps that have the same number of 1 star reviews as 5 star reviews. Apps like this can average out to something that looks good but we need to remember that reviews can be faked and may be faked to make the average look good. Is the app rated lower than 3.5 stars? If an app has 3.5 stars without a bunch of 1 and 5 star reviews it's probably a real number. Going lower than 3.5 is a good indicator that something could be wrong with the app. Usually people will overlook an apps average for games, dating, gallery and photo editing apps just to name a few. These are also the apps where more care should be taken in the permissions granted them. I mean does a gallery app really need to see your contact? Does a game really need to see your call log?
