Is anyone having an issue with notifications repeating sometimes hours later even after being dismissed or acknowledged? I keep getting almost every notification I got through the day again by the end of the day.

You say "almost every" will you describe the ones you get and the ones you do not? I'm curious if there's a pattern, like every message notification is delivered twice but game play notifications never or today it's games and messages but tomorrow it will be messages and social media update.

Facebook is alot of them, but I get ones from texts, some from facebook messenger, I've gotten game notifications. It seems to be whatever notifications I got in the mid afternoon come back around in the evening for another pass

I've been getting weird notifications with gmail. Sometimes no notification for a new email then I open Gmail and see it and then the notification goes off. Not just a once or twice thing, but consistently lately. I want to say I had a Gmail update, but don't recall if issues were before or after. I don't even bother letting Facebook notify me for anything, except messenger messages.

Facebook games?

It feels like Facebook is the issue, well except for the games that I'm still not sure of the source yet. I'd try clearing the cache for Facebook and messenger and possibly the data for them too. If you clear the data you won't lose anything but you'll have to sign in again.

I actually had my ring doorbell yesterday give me a notification that someone was there, funny thing, none of the other phones attached went off, and nobody was there, so it was a notification from earlier in the day. So not just facebook.

That happens on/off for me, it did with the Note 10 plus 5G as well, it's mostly Gmail that acts up for me.

Do you have repeat reminders on ?
Check in accesbility>advanced if it's on ?

I was hoping I wasn't the only one....

Well we've had a couple of people chime in with similar issues but not exactly the same so in a way that's good. If it was rampant and happening to a lot of people that might mean it was something that couldn't be solved. Since it is just you, well at least to this extent, that should give you hope that the device can act normally.

Do you know how to get into Safe Mode?

You also understand that you'll have to stay in Safe Mode for at least a day, correct? If this issue occurs everyday you should probably stay in Safe Mode for at least a day or until it happens. Obviously if it occurs Safe Mode isn't helping and staying in it longer than that would be pointless. However if you make it the entire day, when you're sure it would have happened on any typical day, and nothing happens it is most likely a bad app.

Since we're exploring the possibility of a bad app maybe we can narrow down which app it could be.
Are all of your apps from the Play Store, Galaxy Store or Amazon App Store? Any app downloaded from a website is automatically suspect. This includes security apps, anti-virus apps and malware apps. This is my personal opinion but these types of apps, even when from a legit source like the three app stores I mentioned, seem to do the opposite of what they claim. They are even more suspect if they come from random sites where there is zero oversight.

Do you have any notably low rated apps? Typically, and this is just my opinion, I stay away from being the first to the party. Apps with less than 300 to 500 thousand downloads don't get downloaded onto my devices. Apps that have the same number of 1 star reviews as 5 star reviews. Apps like this can average out to something that looks good but we need to remember that reviews can be faked and may be faked to make the average look good. Is the app rated lower than 3.5 stars? If an app has 3.5 stars without a bunch of 1 and 5 star reviews it's probably a real number. Going lower than 3.5 is a good indicator that something could be wrong with the app. Usually people will overlook an apps average for games, dating, gallery and photo editing apps just to name a few. These are also the apps where more care should be taken in the permissions granted them. I mean does a gallery app really need to see your contact? Does a game really need to see your call log?

Let us know what you find.

I get two texts on mine. Been this way on three other phones as well. I'm thinking carrier issue on my end.

I have the same issue. I can get a text at 8pm, that I dismiss and/or reply to, then get another notification for that text thread (it will show my reply since it was the last message in the thread) hours later.

It just happened last night. Received / acknowledge / responded at 9:35pm, got another notification around 2:00am that woke me up.

This isn't just the alert sound that plays with repeat alerts (which is do have enabled). This is the full popup notification at the top of the screen.
