Duplicate Gmail notifications

Ever since I got this S24 I've noticed when I get a Gmail email I get two notifications one looks like the normal one I used to see on my S23 and I don't know what the other one is how do I get it down to just the normal email notification?

The top one is the oddball the bottom one is what I've always seen with all my other phones.

The top one looks like it's from the Gmail app, while the bottom one is from an email client app (presumably Samsung Mail). Do you have the Gmail app installed? If so, you could either uninstall/disable it, or turn off notifications for it.

Agreed. That second notification, and first screenshot looks exactly like the Samsung Email app.

You don't need both if you only have one email account. You can actually open the Samsung Email app, go to settings and remove the Gmail account. Let the Gmail app itself handle all email.
