duplicate home screen widgets?

okay, so here's what i've got in terms of setup:
optimus s, rooted, with thunderc recovery and thunderom 1.5
GO-launcher (latest version)
beautiful widgets (for clock/weather widget)
pure widgets (calendar, and scrollable news thing used for facebook newsfeed..)

the issue is that sometimes I notice that the widgets and icons on my home screen(s) are dupicated, and placed on top of each other. i can verify this by moving something and see that the exact same thing is underneath. i have no idea what causes this, but it can be fixed with a quick reboot. don't know if it's go launcher or one of the widgets running, or something else.. but if anyone has any ideas, please let me know!

I've never had that problem with GO. Does they always duplicate after a reboot? If you just delete the duplicates, do they keep reappearing?

the reboot fixes it temporarily, but then eventually (maybe minutes, maybe hours, maybe days) i notice that it's back. if i delete the top widget it seems to be okay, but then i'll notice that later that day the one that's left behind won't be updating at all, and in fact, is completely static (not interactive at all). the old ones won't reappear, but i'm left with the static one. then if i reboot from that situation, the widget completely disappears (sort of like the ghost that was left behind finally got wiped off the screen?) i'm thinking this might be an issue with TR1.5 because i had pretty much the exact same setup before flashing it, and that's about when this started, although i didn't make the connection then..

Let me guess ... You have titanium backup installed?

Check your settings in titanium, if all else fails un-install it for a couple of days and see if the problem goes away.

When titanium restores, it restores widgets and all. If you have the widget on your screen, then titanium restores it on your screen ... I'll leave you to figure out what the result would be

Sorry for the apparent noob-ishness, but what should I be looking for in terms of settings? All I really have set is an auto backup of new apps and new versions on Sunday nights. Also, im not really sure how the restoring aspect works in here since im not exactly restoring my backups every day or something.. but thanks for the insight so far!

Not sure about settings because I don't use titanium, or any backup program, but my guess that you have titanium installed is based off an issue I saw a while back where some evo users were having a problem with widgets being published multiple times on their screens. If I recall correctly, it had to do with titanium.

Well I checked of my settings in titanium and did a couple reboots and things have been okay so far...I did get one instance of this problem but that was early on after the settings check and after a reboot from that I havent seen it since.. granted that was only a couple days ago so ill post if it happens again.. thanks again!
