Think thats a Verizon thing, not a nexus thing. It happened to me frequently on my Droid x, and I've had it happen once on the nexus

yes, i used to get it 50% of the time on my Droid X and have had it happen once on my GNex. I dont get why it happens, because none of my other family members or friends have this issue.

I just cleared my messaging app cache and everything seems fine so far.

Yep, keeps happening to me - sometimes even triple messages.

Never happened on my previous phone (Incredible)

It did it on my Rezound and all its replacements and it did it on my Nexus with its replacements.

Its Verizon. I'm already talking to them about it. It doesn't bother me too much but if I had a txt limit, oh man.... heads would be rolling.

Didn't happen on my RAZR. Has happened multiple times on the GN.
I figured it was because the GN has a lower signal at my house and the SMS system didn't get a confirm on the delivery and resent the message.
