Duplicated Notifications

Not sure if this is something that can be fixed but might as well ask. Whenever I turn on my tablet, all the dozens and dozens of notifcations that I had previously dismissed on my phone now show up on the tablet. Is there anyway to prevent this from happening?

I get that also on my pixel 4xl when I first open it as it's been sitting on wifi no sim . I'm not sure there's a way to fix this other then not keeping them with same account .

Some of that also depends on the app developer, I think. Some apps are good about knowing if their notifications have been dismissed on another device, but most aren't.

Yeah I figured there would be no way. I just let it sit a minute or two and hit "clear" but still sucks. Thanks for the info anyway.
