Duplicates files being created

In looking at my space thru ES file Explorer today I did a check on duplicate files.looks like every jpg and pdf,and video files I have are duplicated. I checked drop box and both files are being saved there as well.so it seems there ARE actual files being saved and backed up in drop box and verizon cloud.thought it might be hdr ,but it's doing it to pdf as well.when I look at the file properties they all have different dates so I'm wondering if somehow when I open a file it's being saved again.any thoughts or help would be great.

Depending on your phone, yes, HDR pictures are usually saved in two different versions (but if that's the case, the HDR version does state HDR).
