Durability of EVO Screen?

Id say scratch wise you will be fine (I dont use a screen protector) in normal every day use.

there was a youtube video of the evo scratch test, but its been removed.. the user tried a blade and keys to scratch the evo, but couldnt do it.

Thanks. I cannot find out if it has gorilla glass by corning or not. Forums say both yes and no.

I think if it was true Gorilla Glass, HTC would use that in marketing and thus far they have not. My bet is no on the Gorilla Glass, but that doesn't mean that they aren't using a high-quality glass that is higher on the Mohs Hardness Scale.

Looking at the EVO screen it would appear that it has an oleophobic coating (like the Hero). Which should make it scratch resistant. I haven't been very careful with my Hero and I haven't got a single scratch on it, and I work at a pretty dirty factory.

Oleophobic refers to the screen's ability to resist smudges, not scratches.

Just sayin'.
