dust under screen

Has anyone noticed or had problems with any dust under their glass. I noticed I have quite a but under mine near the top right corner. I think it is getting in thru the speaker. VZW is sending me a replacement but i hope its not a chronic problem.

Are you keeping your phone in your pocket? When I had a Razr V3 and kept it in my pocket I had dust under the small outside screen. It does get in through the speaker slot. Pockets are a bad place to keep one's phone. I keep mine, and every other phone since my Razr, in a belt pouch and I've never had a dust problem since even using the same phone over two years.

The Droid 2 Global (listed as the phone you have) only came out a few months ago. Hardly enough time to collect a bunch of dust under your screen. In time though you will have it happen if you continue keeping it in your pants pocket.

That's disheartening. But wouldn't that be the case with any phone then? I have only had that happen to me once and that was with my HTC Hero. We will see what happens.

Yeah, pretty much any phone. The ear speaker area isn't air tight so fine dust particles from a pants pocket will in time work its way in.

the only way around this problem is to get a phone with a samsung super amoled screen because they don't have any space between the LCD and the glass. but yes i have this problem, and i'm going to do a total tear-down like on ifixit.com to clean it off as well as make my top piece sit closer to my keyboard. mine floats a millimeter to high for my liking. i wish it was and when i push on the bottom half of my screen my entire screen tilts.

does anyone else have this raised top piece issue?
