dust under the screen??

I've had my prime since wednesday and have had only minimal problems with it so far, mainly apps force closing and static when using the headphones. This is my first tablet and i was very happy with it until today i noticed a very tiny spec of dust underneath the screen on the bottom left side today. It seems to be about the size of one of the pixels, maybe a bit bigger. It is much more noticeable when the screen is turned off. i tried like hell to wipe it off, thinking it was regular dust on top of the screen, but it wouldn't budge. Take a look at the photo i uploaded to photobucket, you can see it clearly there. You may have to zoom in to see it better.

I just checked my prime again for dust anywhere else on the screen and i did notice another small piece or two on the top left side. These two are extremely small and the only way i see them is if i squint. i am very disappointed since i paid so much of my hard earned money on this.

I was just wondering if anyone else has had this same problem.

i would like to take my prime back to best buy and try to replace it, but i fear it would take weeks for me to get a replacement. Has anyone else tried to replace theirs. Just wondering about the wait time and whether or not anyone who replaced it received a brand new one or a refurbished one( if they even have refurbished ones yet.)

I have the same problem - im not sure i will send back as i dont want to wait ages for a replacement, stock levels are very low - im hoping ill forget about it eventually..
 
I recommend that you return the tablet for an exchange. If you purchased at Best Buy, you have ask them to notify you when they have them in stock so you can bring it back at that time. I believe some folks have done that.
 
I'm one of the Best Buy guys, brought mine back and there was zero issue.
I'd reccomend doing it asap.

My 2nd one has no screen issues, luckily.
 
I had this exact same problem. Where did you buy yours from? I bought mine from Amazon and I have to say they were amazing with the return. I filled out their form online and they told me I had to mail it back within 30 days and paid for the UPS shipping. Within 12 hours, they had shipped me a replacement (before I shipped back the old one) with 1 day shipping. I was without my Prime for less than 24 hours.

Also, when I returned it, Amazon had it listed as not in stock on their product page. I believe they probably stock pile a few of these as backups for returns.

Highly recommend you return it, no matter where you bought it as it will only annoy you. Mine was extremely distracting while browsing or looking at anything with a white background.
