hmm...i probably sound like such a newb but thats ok because i am one!! :D Well i purchased Dxtop and beautiful widgets this afternoon and when i went to dl them they just keep saying authorizing purchase for the longest time and does not begin to dl. I used the card that i purchased them with earlier today and it worked fine. I am having the same problem with both dxtop and beautiful widgets. Am i missing something? Any help would be greatly appreciated.. Thanks

it had you do this through google checkout, right? and you filled out all the information it requested? If so... i don't know what to tell you... i'd suggest calling verizon and talking with them

yea i went through google checkout and everything and i have the confirmation emails. ill have to give VZ a ring tomorrow i suppose.

figured it out. performed a battery pull and it started to dl. dont know why i didnt think of that earlier, newb mistake

Happened to me yesterday, I just powered down and restarted. When it came back on it started downloading what I purchased.

Easy with the battery pulls, it isn't a blackberry. :-)

Lol...I was just thinking that...I refer to powering down as a battery pull. Too long using quickpull I guess.

What are the original posters thoughts on DXTop? I'm debating which home replacement to go with.

personally, i like dx top and home++

once dx top gets the extra fluidity of the likes of home++ i'll switch back (or when i get bored and need a change, whichever comes first)

features wise, dx top is hard to beat in my books though

I have DxTop and GDE. I would say they are equal. DxTop has a categorized app drawer and one swipe to get to the panes. GDE has up to 7 screens, the cube transition (though I don't use it), and can still have folders in the app drawer.

I'm currently using GDE because I find it is quicker. Opening the app drawer is quicker/smoother. I also find that opening programs seems snappier in GDE. Also the widget redraw in GDE is much quicker/complete. DxTop sometimes takes some time to redraw the widgets and sometimes they will load incomplete.
