First off let me say I had never had any of the issues with not being able to hear during calls that so many have had problems with. I did have a minor annoyance when I first got the phone where my texts kept saying they weren't being sent but a hard reset fixed that issue.
That said, yesterday morning during a call I hear a little "pop" then it was like the call dropped although the phone still said connected. I ended the call and called my buddy back but it never rang. He ended up calling me on my work line a minute later so I finished the conversation there. While I was on the phone my wife called me which went to voicemail. I played the VM message and nothing so I figured she just hung up when it went to VM. A while later I get an email from her saying she left me a message to call. So I tried calling her back and it was like it never rang or anything even though the phone said connected.
I was thinking at this point I had the issue everyone had been talking about. But pulling the battery didnt change anything. I found the person on the other end of the call could hear me, and if I put it on speaker I could hear them. The earpiece just up and took a dump out of the blue. No warning no poping nothing.
Off to the Sprint store to see about a repair. Nothing they could do apparently they replaced the phone with another one and off to tweeking it back to my liking again I went.
Anyone else had any issues with the earpiece? The tech at the Sprint store said it was the first he had seen. I was suprised to learn that this store in our not too big city was #86 for volume of the 1300 corprate stores so they do see a fair amount of customers per month.
