I just called good old "*2" and specifically asked to do the buy up. They had to transfer me a few times but I finally got there. My problem was that my account was not eligible for the buy up. So I had to go through a different rigmaroll to let me pay them money.

You have to contact 611 and have them transfer you to Account Services and speak to them. If you do a buy out, they put the amount on your bill. Then u can go to any store that does a buy back or to a store like Best Buy or Target for the deals they have. And pay the discounted price like a new customer.

What rigmaroll did you have to go through?

and how long till upgrade where you at? they wouldn't let me do anything to get up because all my lines were more then a year out

Telling them if could not pay to upgrade I would just let contract expire and go to ATT or Verizon. I have an air card that is out of contract and said would drop it, use Evo for my wireless tether until contract is up then move on.

Just got off the phone with sprint and can buyout my contract for a mere $45. I just don't know if I can push past the non removable battery. There have just been so many times that a battery charger doesn't cut it for me. Most of my traveling is by motorcycle and can't use a charger. Also spend lots of time away from any electricity....

I would jump all over this phone right now if it wasn't for this one thing....

Called today and talked to a supervisor. No luck. Full price on Friday. Plus, its my birthday. Oh well.

So get a portable self contained charger, they have them everywhere, you charge it, take it with and then plug your phone into it when you need power, recharge it when you get home...Not that big of a deal.

I do a lot of Live Streaming it eats batteries bad. I was carrying 5 batteries with my OG EVO if I knew I was going to be needing them. Well it seemed it would die right in the middle or I would have to pull a partially charged one just so it wouldn't die.

I went 1st with the Zagg Sparq it just worked real well I ran a cord from one pocket to another and just kept the Phone Topped off. I since then got a 16,000 one and a smaller 5,000 that I can boost the families phones and don't have to worry about buying new batteries everytime we Upgrade .

So I 2nd this totally and is the way to go they even have smaller one not much bigger then a battery for a quick 1 boost so saying don't want to carry due to size is rubbish

I wasn't eligible for an upgrade until July 2013 and I was able to buy up. Just call the number.

Well for me and my org. evo this is what i did.

A lot of times in the day (when not using my phone) i would simply turn off my data. My phone was still able to be used as a phone and when i needed net, nav or what not i'd simply turn it back on.

Doing this i am able to get 36hrs out of my org evo easy.

The thing that worries me the most is how i wont be able to pull the battery to reset my phone every once in a while. ie flashing, modding. Its not holding me from getting this phone though :)

I think he's trying to find reasons NOT to buy the phone. They focus on the problem more than the solution
