Earphone Jack to small

Hi,
I have a nasty problem with the earphone jack of the HTC One M8. It seems to be too small for most of the earphones available.
The earphone does not fit in entierly and therefore disconnects on purpose, if the device is moved unhappyli. Does anybody else have this problem? Do I have to buy HTC official headphones? Is there a workaround?

Its a standard headphone jack, every headphone I try on it works perfectly

Are you sure that you are fully pushing the earphone-plug in the jack?! you have to push it in until you hear a 'tick' sound.

There might be lint in the bottom of the jack, keeping you from fully seating the plug into the jack. Use a bright light or flashlight and try to peer into the bottom of the jack. You might find it's full of pocket lint. A toothpick is a pretty safe way of getting it out of there. Just be careful not to pry around too much in there or you could damage one of the contacts.
