Earphones not working in my phone but works in pc

I have a skull candy earphone ....I have been using that for my phone Moto g5 plus for over a year...but recently when I plug my earphones ...and play any music..only the phone speaker is playing and not my earphone...I tried the same with another earphone it worked fine....so I thought maybe earphone is damaged...but I connected it to my PC ...in the pink port( for microphone )instead of the limegreen port( which
have been using till date,but stopped working now)... .it worked fine...so I am seriously confused as to do what ..?also recently I checked with my friends phone my earphones are working fine..but not in my phone...

The green port is speaker, not mic. the red port is mic.

But your situation is a bit perplexing. Normally I'd guess at a bad earphone jack, but if it worked with another earphone, that's probably not it. (Unless the skull candy plug is so worn that it's not triggering the switchover from speaker to earphone.)
