Earphones on LG G5 do not convey sound

When I plug in my earphones to my G% no sound comes through. How do I might this work? Earphones in xlent condition.

If no other earphones work, repair may be needed. To say that yours are in excellent condition doesn’t really tell us whether they work on other devices.

Try using a toothpick or similar non-metallic object to lightly fish around and see if there's any pocket lint in the headphone jack. Some phones are worse than others about collecting pocket lint.
