I looked all over the internet for an easy way to root my new android phone. I am very new to android, and a lot of the directions weren't to easy to follow.
For this android root, you will need to download View attachment 32062 on to your computer. You will also need to download the app APK Installer onto your phone.
1. Move the file GingerBreak-v1.20 to your phone's SD Card.
2. Open the APK installer app.
3. Choose to install from SD card.
4. Find the GingerBreak-v1.20 file and open it
5. Install and restart your phone.
I rooted my LG Thrive with these directions. If your device does or does not work, please reply with your phone model.
