I am unclear if users have seen this warning from the developers of EasyRoot app about users that has done or looking to install the OTA Froyo 2.2 update from Verizon after using EasyRoot previously so I figured I would post link to post, might want to read.... Quick Note for Droid X users | Unstable Apps

Easy Root doesn't have anything to do with this problem; it doesn't work with 2.2 now though. The problem of going back down to 2.1 from the OTA update applies whether you used Easy Root or not. The dev(s) were just warning people of it on the site.

Ummm, that warning has nothing to do with their app and your OP, you might want to change it or I will.

Word for word, here is their warning...

If you install the 2.2 OTA update, DO NOT FLASH BACK TO 2.1 WITH THE SBF FILE. You will lock your phone at the moto logo until a new SBF gets leaked. Again, if you install the 2.2 OTA DO NOT FLASH BACK TO 2.1!

EDIT: CLOSED, This is not new news.
