Ok, so I'm definitely new. I had rooted my Epic with one click, installed Clockworkmod 3 and tried to flash Bonsai. No go. I realize now that I still had the rfs file system from Samsung.

So I couldn't get past ClockWorkMod recovery. I found a thread to flash back to stock with Odin. It even had a .tar that would allow me to do so without wiping my entire phone.

So now after doing more research on flashing ROMs, I wanted to have a stock Froyo EB13, but realized I had flashed EB01 with Odin. (I keep finding references to Facinate when I look up EB01).

Whats the difference between EB01 and EB13? And can is there a ROM available that will correct that for me? Or should I just root and find a totally new ROM to try out?

the difference between EB01 and EB13 is, EB01 is for the samsung fascinate on verizon and EB13 is for the sprint epic 4G.... if you successfully flashed EB01 then your phone should be a paper weight right now, Is that the case?

I'm actually up n working now and posting from my phone. It looks just like it did b4 I messed everything up. It just says eb01 when I go to settings, about phone.

I can try and find the link I used. I'm 99% sure it was from xda. If not, then I found it on here.

its working really?
does it say EB01 in both the baseband and build number?
if you flashed it from odin it had to be one of my packages, because if you flashed a full EB01 stock file it would change everything about your phone, because the EB01 stock includes flashing boot loader secondary bootload and a whole bunch of other stuff... my packages only include OS , Kernel, Modem, and recovery.

Yes it says eb01 in both the baseband version:
S:D700.0.5S.EB01
And the build number:
FROYO.EB01
Here's the kernel too:
2.6.32.9

Sorry its listed like that I was going back n forth I wanted to get it right. Like I said, the phone works. Seems to work good with a little lag. Ill find that link when I can get on my pc to where I found the instructions.

Again man I'm def a newbie so if I have something mistaken forgive me.

Im just kind of blown away that your phone works right now, i didnt know a verizon cdma setup would work on sprint i thought the frequencies different,,, are you able to get 4g ????

As far as I know it does. I it shows the icon and gets a signal where it workd before.

Wait wait tho.. I do have th sprint apps on here as well. They wouldn't be there if it was vz would they?

Maybe its just a typo in a file header or something?

Thanks J. I appreciate the response. that answered exactly what I needed to know.

now my next question is... what are my ROM options? has anyone made like spreadsheet comparing the different ones? so many infographics out there, is there one for Android ROMs?
