eBay and Shared Plans

Is it possible to buy the phone on eBay, activate the device, and bypass the new share plans after the June 28th start point? Or do I have to take one up the a$$ by Verizon and lose my unlimited?

You can keep your unlimited as long as VZW doesn't subsidize any of your phone purchases. So if you buy a phone on ebay you can keep your plan.

I didn't even think of that! I think that is a valid point, people are going to be willing to pay more for used phones now and I will be more than happy to oblige by charging them more for them as well! Score!

I don't think it will drive prices up because there will still be a new android coming out every few months so that alone will keep the prices somewhat reasonable.

My upgrade isn't until October anyhow, so by then the GSIII will be down substantially from now. Plus, the new Galaxy Nexus will (probably) be on the market as well. I just don't want to monkey around with these damned new plans.

Here's to hoping Google can figure out how to make a VZW compatible Nexus to sell in the Play Store.
