eBay bumper

[Im Broken]

Just got this in the mail. Can't find much to complain about. For 5 bucks I'm happy till I find something better. It doesn't wrap around the front of the screen at all and I thought that would cause it to slip off easily but it seems to stay on nicely. I think I could handle a corner/front drop just fine. Wanted it so I could see my leather.

Yep I got one from eBay for a few bucks. Wanted it to use with my leather back when I get it. I don't know what that little black flap is for though. Did you figure it out?

I don't think it serves a major purpose other than a place for a logo. Someone here or over on XDA cut it off with no issues.

Yep same one. I have no clue about the flap but its black and my leather is black so I left it. The bumper really improved the feel of my phone keeping it nice and thin. I'm happy.

There is a bumper on Amazon, brand "Dreamviva" that has the flap with the name imprinted on it. I am guessing this is the knockoff of that one. Either way I cut mine off so that it was more uniform.

Don't cut the flap off... It's there so when the phone is drop it stays in the case... Believe me, I took it off on another phone and when I drop it I thought it would be fine but after impact, the phone popped out of the bumper and scratched the hell outta my phone

The phone enters the bumper from the front...how would the flap on the back hold the phone in such a way to keep it from coming out the front?

Awesome! Pink one! I'm using a yellow one on the yellow leather back.
I cut off that black flap before I even put the phone in. It cuts right off very easily.

Also, I disagree with whoever said the flap holds the phone in place...the flap is flimsy as hell...it's a tiny piece of rubber. It does nothing.

I got red but have black leather. Based on the pics I've seen I don't think it's a good match at all. The bumper is really red.

Yeah it won't match. It will be just like the problem I have with the yellow bumper on the yellow leather. The colors of the bumpers are vibrant/bright shades, while the leather backs are rather subdued (except maybe the orange?). I have the red leather and I got a black bumper which looks okay together; the red bumper is super red while the red leather is more maroon.

My yellow bumper is bright yellow while my yellow leather is sometimes gold-looking or slightly-orange-looking when there isn't a flash on it.

I'm just going on experience my friend, and although it looks very flimsy it's there for a reason, not to display the company name nor logo... They could have put that on the side of the bumper. There are bumpers out the that have the flap with no name on it at all and still have a flap. I'm just giving you the heads up is all

The reason that there are bumpers with no logo on the flap is because they are generic. The mold was designed and then sold which is why there are several different listings for the same bumper at different prices and with and without logos.

There is no way a small piece of rubber on the back would keep the phone from popping thru the front.

If yours popped out its because the lip on the front is minimal.

That's what I figured, I have the black bumper that I use with both the red and black leather backs. Wish somebody made a clear bumper!
