I JUST bought a Nexus 7 and one thing I am very curious on how to do is downloading free ebooks and putting them onto my N7. I've looked at a few forums but not really comprehending how to do it. I downloaded Aldiko and that's as far as I have gotten. I'm not sure if you're supposed to download the book on your computer first and then transfer it over to your N7 or what. Would love it if someone could give me kind of a step by step on how to do it - in a dumbed down way.

Thanks!

And any reccomendations for free ebook sites would be much appreciated as well! :)

Try moon+reader, I find it better than aldiko. To get free ebooks you could either download then from your pc or the tablet. Just make sure you put the ebook file in the "ebooks folder" .
Site to get free ebooks: Google :)

You can download them off the internet from the device (on the internet on it)

I use Cool Reader for ebooks that are not DRM protected (for ebooks I download from "elsewhere")

I use OverDrive Media for books from the public library.

I use Calibre on my PC for converting between formats (from mobi to epub for example).

Not a big Kindle fan but you can load that too to buy books from Amazon in the azw format.
