Echo complaints using Aux connection

Tried using the aux connection with my car stereo today. Everyone I talked to complained about a horrible echo on their end. Anyone else experiencing this?
Never had the problem with my Bionic. Curious if there is a fix or is this an inherit problem with S3.

what are you guys using to hook up your s3?

Just a cord from the Aux port of the phone to Aux port of the car stereo.
I have hooked up an X2 and a Bionic in the past and never had the problem.
This is my second S3 and they both echo on the other end.
I only use the Aux ports on phones for in car hands free....really disappointed.
Had to bring my Bluetooth Jawbone earpiece out of retirement.

I'm also using the aux cable from phone to car stereo. Sometimes plugged into my charger, sometimes, I'm not. Either way, I get complaints of an echo from people I talk to.

Does the icon show it being connected as a headset or headphones? The echo is probably coming from the phone playing back what's being heard via the stereo.
