eclipse 2.1 batter indicator

I am running eclipse 2.1 on my bionic and have had no problems. The last couple of days whenever I wake up and take phone off the charger the battery indicator only says 99%. It used to go to 100. It has charged for several hours. Do I need to totally drain it? Thanks for any help.
