Edge Lighting

Hey guys, been playing around with my new S22U for the last couple of days and just doing little tweaks here and there. Never used edge lighting on my previous note 10+, but I was thinking about using it on the new phone. Is there a way to set it up to work with different apps?

I did some searching on the ol interwebs, and if I'm seeing it right, it looks like they took the option away, but I'm not 100% sure. I did use LED me know on my note, but it seems to be having issues and the only thing I can get to work constantly is the charging/charged section. Thanks

You can't choose your own color for each app. It automatically gets picked by the color of the icon.

You set up the apps to trigger the edgelighting in the "Color by Keyword" setting, for example the trigger for nbc news is "NBC NEWS", what is displayed in the notification must match in the color by keyword. Sweetypie31 appears to be correct, you can no longer set the color per app, it grabs it from the notifying icon.

I always forget about the color by keyword option. The one time I tried to use it , it wouldn't work on my apps, but it worked great on individual contacts.

To get it to work on apps, it has to be an exact match, so if you look at the recent notifications in the Notifications settings, and look at what triggers, just match the spelling exactly and then it will trigger the edge light. I don't understand why Samsung took away the set color per app (the settings make it look like it would work, like in the S20 series, but they don't).

thanks for all the replies. i did play around with the settings for a while in edge lighting, but then i realized that unlike led me know, the light doesn't stay there until i either dismiss or open the notification. i deleted/reinstalled led me know, tweaked some settings and got it working just how it was on my note 10+, so i'll probably stick with that again. i like that if i happen to wake up in the middle of the night, i can see the different colors instead of trying to focus on the aod icon to see if i have to actually look at the notification or not.
