Sprint Galaxy S8 Edge lighting

So today, randomly I saw the edge lighting work for the second time since I received my phone. As I have said in another post, I have changed settings and turned off and restarted the phone several times. When I saw it i was just holding my phone about to unlock the phone to show a coworker the workings of the phone when I received a text. Since then I have had a few more texts and no lighting. I am now wondering if a sensor or something is reading wrong so the edge lighting doesn't get triggered.

I think I am just going to contact Samsung and probably Sprint, I am thinking I got a bugged phone.

I've never had edge lighting work since my s8+ arrived, despite having it set to always. Just seems like a buggy, mostly broken feature.

I have been seeing posts on this forum and with searches online. A lot of people are having the issue. So you might be right. I contacted Samsung about it so we'll see.
