Edge panel

Something I noticed has changed about edge panel. I use the app panel alot for my favorite apps and folders. On my note 10 plus they were static but I noticed on the note 20 ultra they've added a small section at the top and they change to your most recently used apps. The others stay static. Interesting touch.

You can turn it off, click the pencil to edit and in the menu settings in the upper right hand corner, there's an option to toggle it off.

I personally don't like the actual color of the panels. On my N10+, it was more transparent and a darker color.

Yes I've noticed that too. I also noticed there's more of a transition effect when clicking on folders within the Apps Edge panel. I've already set all the transitions to off in the developer settings and checked the Reduce animations in the regular settings and it still has the transition effect. Is there a way to turn off this effect? To me it makes the phone seems sluggish.

I've been trying for a few hours to get my panels back to bring transparent. They used to be a pretty transparently color grey. Now they are fully opaque and I can't even change the color. They are either white or black depending on light it dark mode. It's making me want to tear my hair out as I use the regularly. Any ideas? Why would they take such a great features and make it ugly?

The handle on the side ? Slide over edge panel then tap gear icon and 3 dots upper right corner

I want my panels to be back to bring transparent just like my Note 10. It seems so minor and maybe I'm just tired, but it's making me hate my new phone. Everytime I go to call or text someone, there it is in all its ugliness. I keep picking up my Note 10 and wondering how to do it. Is anyone else having this issue (minus the pickiness issue)? Did I change a setting or are the panels just white and black now with no transparency now?
