Edge screen error after update to 6.0.1

Hi,

I have an S6 Edge. Since updating to Android 6.0.1 this morning, every time I try and swipe the edge screen, it doesn't work and says "Unfortunately, edge screen has stopped" and then the side panel disappears. So basically I cant use the edge screen. I've tried restarting, force stop, etc

Seems the update has really screwed up the edge screen. Has this happened to anyone else and how to fix?

Edge screen works OK on BlackBerry Priv. About 24 hrs after upgrade to M I did a hard reset. Maybe that will help. Wife has s6, non edge, she says her edge screen never worked...
