I recently upgraded my skyrocket to ICS, and today I noticed that a new calendar event added after the upgrade would not allow me to edit it. In fact the edit command was missing from the menu on any new event entered after I upgraded. The edit command is available for items entered in the calendar prior to upgrade.
Is anyone else experiencing this problem.

I spoke to Samsung tonight and they can't figure out what the problem is.

Thanks:)

Welcome to AC droidkingIII!!

Have you tried a short press on the event from within the calendar? Should bring up a dialogue to delete it. At least it does on my Prime. It wont drill into the event, just bring up a dialogue with an option to delete the event.

That des not work on my skyrocket, and I am not trying to delete an event, I am trying to edit an event.

I was trying to see if anyone else has experienced this problem, or is it just a problem with my phone.

Droidking3: Both my wife & I have the skyrocket from AT&T. I downloaded ICS & soon realized I was having the same problem on both phones. I called Samsung & they
reassured me that it was not a software issue but rather a phone Issue. They wanted to do a complete reset of both phones which I was unwilling to accept. I have been down that road too many times before. Our appointments or (events) past & future are very critical to us. This is how I solved the problem on both phones without losing massive data.Any future appointments or events after the update need to be written down as you will lose it!!!!
#1 Sync your calender to your gmail account
#2 Backup your complete phone to KIES PC software that you used to download ICS.
#3 I synced my calendars to Microsoft Outlook if you have it.
#4 Next go to Settings & swipe till you get to Backup & reset. Check both boxes. As you can see I am covering every backup possible so I don't lose everything.
#5 Go to Settings/Applications/touch the ALL tab/scroll down to calendar/touch the first calendar icon, then touch the CLEAR DATA Tab. Touch the back button on the bottom, then select the second calendar tab, touch the CLEAR DATA tab on that one, touch the back button, then touch the Calendar Storage Icon, touch the CLEAR Data Tab. All 3 Calendar tabs should read 0.kb.
#6 I went back to the home page, on one of the phones I shut it down & restarted. The second one I just left it at the home page. I tried to re-sync both phones to the Google servers with the gmail accounts, both of them failed to sync even though I had the Settings/Accounts and sync turned on & the corresponding gmail account were highlighted. The only way it worked for me was through the KIES PC software backup I performed. I connected the phone using the SAMSUNG USB CABLE to the USB port. I opened KIES & waited until Kies reconized the device, I then selected the backup/restore tab at the top, then selected the restore tab at the bottom, then selected the backup file I had created in KIES before I started this mess/ select next: then deselect ALL & make sure only the schedule icon is selected/then select next & let it reload all the events. I then created a new event & saved it then went back ,selected the event, touch the menu button & finally the edit button appeared. I did lose some of the future events which is why I said to write them down. It was easy to create them again with the VRS. So much for Samsung to say it was a phone issue seeing we didn't have the problem before we downloaded ICS. Hope this works out for you & the other Skyrockettiers out there. Sorry for the long post but wanted to be very through for the community

I did as you laid out and My Calendar events now have the edit button working fine, Thank you very much. I do not use Goggle calendar, so this was great to have the edit function working on my Outlook calendars. I spoke with Samsung, 2nd level, and he had me clear the first calendar application, but not the other two. Thank you again.:D
