Email alert for sub folders in Exchange

Just received my Samsung Galaxy Nexus; does anyone know if there is a way to set a notification for new mail on a folder under the Inbox? I do see the options for setting the frequency for checking on sub folders. If I navigate to the sub folder I can see that there is new mail, but there are no notifications that new mail has arrived.

My Charge was able to do this with the default email client, and I know that Touchdown and other third party clients have this ability, but I want to use the default mail client that comes with the phone.
