Email count disappearing?

Hey there,

First off I'll say that I'm coming from a Galaxy S2.

When I open up the mail app on my One and don't even read the unread messages the unread email count disappears on the icon...

Is there any way to fix this so the mail icon always shows the unread email count like the GS2 did?

As far as I know that's how the stock email app works. Hopefully they fix this in an update

I hope they do it should show the amt of unread messages.
