I have read multiple threads and I have not been able to find an answer for my exact question. Perhaps someone has run into this and had it fixed.

My problem is that since ICS installed, my email account is deleting my emails from my account instead of only locally. Let me elaborate, my wife and I share a family email address @msn.com. Pre ICS our email on our phones could be deleted locally only without actally deleting from the primary account. this allowed us to download our emails and only delete what we did not want. Yes, we still had to go to our main MSN account to actually delete emails.

I would like to have this option again, and disabling sync sounded like a good idea. That simply ceases any emails from even being received. We are bot using Razrs and both having the same issue. Again, we had no problem preICS.

thanks in advance, and if I missed an earlier post, please link.

Yes. You need to go into email settings on your accounts and select to never delete from server and also make sure that the other option to auto delete emails after a set time is turned off. If you did not do a hard reset after the ICS update you need to do that first and start from scratch. While setting up your email accounts you will have the option to turn those features off. When changing OS's it is very difficult to combine apps and files from the old OS with the new one and not have problems.

Well, against my better judgement I did a reset. Same issue as before, except now I have wasted a few hours setting my phone back up.

EAS keeps everything in sync between your phone and Hotmail, so whatever you do on your phone, like delete an email, add an appointment, or update one of your contacts with a new number, will also be reflected on the web, and vice-versa.

Am I to understand that I do not have to delete my delete history from my Razr Maxx, as I did from my previous Droid @ phone? Does it not accumalate and use space on the Razr Maxx, or just deletes when I delete at my laptop late?
