So, a few days ago, my email on my phone and my computer both stopped working. I called Cox and they reset my password. That fixed it for a little bit but now it's no longer working. The weird thing is that I can login to webmail via a browser without issue. I even deleted the account on the native Android email client on my phone and tried to set it up again but I keep getting "Login information incorrect. Try again." I'm using the same password I use for webmail. Has anyone seen this before? I really think the problem is on Cox's side since I also get the same error using Thunderbird (email client) on my home machine.

If the same error is happening on your computer, yes, the problem is on the Cox side.
Or, like me, you tend to fat-finger the data entry. :-)

They both stopped working on the same day. Both are set to remember my authentication information.

I can go from the browser window when I login fine to the email account window where I enter the same information and then get the incorrect login information message.

Change the security type to, SSL accept any. I had this problem with Aquamail after an update I believe. Not sure if Cox changed something or my Aquamail app but this did the trick.
