Email Issues with Droid - Long Delivery/Wait Time???

Sal is a great guy, but he is the definition of a BB fanboy. In his first ever video about the Droid he states that this was the first ever Android phone he ever played around with or owned. He knew very little about the device and the operating system so everything he says I would take it with a grain of salt.
And also to each his own. While I love smartphones for everything that they do, push-email isn't on my top list of priorities. Maybe its because I'm not the "business" user that many people loosely define or it could be simply because my life doesn't end the instant I don't get that oh so important email the same time my computer does...

Bottom line, don't be lazy. If you have to manually go into the email account and refresh it to get the email, then do it. Not that hard.

so i can confirm at least for me, all the gmail mail i've gotten thus far today seems to be instant. i purchased an app from marketplace, and before it installed, i got an email for the reciept.

the only thing i can think as far as sal's email coming really slow, is maybe since the blackberry pushed it, when google polled the server it saw that the mail had already been seen so it didn't send it or something?

I'm glad it made sense at least :D

Hey gbhil.. can you or anybody else here tell me if the Droid will use OWA if the Security Policy(requiring the device to Lock) is being enforced? I'm getting a Blank(black screen) when looking at the mailbox, even though it appears to synch when refreshed. I wonder if it's because the Droid won't except the forced security policy.

Any help would be appreciated. I'm in Systems Support and configure mobile devices for our company.. this one is being a pain.

Still no exchange email. VZW and MOTO can't figure it out. I know it has to be a simple setting that is wrong, but nobody can figure it out. MOTO rep even told me to take the phone back to place of purchase without hardly trying to fix it.
