For some reason my keyboard on my Samsung s7 edge will not launching when I hit reply to am email. I am using the default Samsung keyboard. I physically have to touch the blinking cursor to get the keyboard to pop up. Is this happening to everyone else or is it a setting I am missing?

Thanks!

Yep, it's happening to me also on my new S7, and is BEYOND annoying!
Didn't have any issue with this on my Note 4, popped up every time I hit reply!

On my new S7 it won't pop up on any email replies. But pops up on forward email, texts, etc.
Posted this same question and no one has answered it yet.

Not sure if it is just you and I, or maybe no one on this forum knows how to help us with this issue?

Let me know if you find a fix. I even tried installing the Flesky keyboard app...still has the same issue!

Hmm. Works the same for me. Not that I see it as a problem though. Meh.
Have you tried a different email app?

this problem began for me about 3 weeks ago and neither AT and T nor Samsung has been able to figure it out. I had my original phone for about 4 months and it worked fine but Samsung sent me another with the same issue. I suspect there to be an issue with the s7 mail or keyboard app and because it drives me nuts (no other phone has ever behaved this way), I escalated it to Google. I don't believe there to be any settings or anything that will fix the problem and suspect it to be a programming issue in the hands of the technicians now. Hope this helps....at least I hope I've conveyed that there's probably nothing you can do to correct it and since the thread is new, maybe this happened with a recent software update.

Google support just reconnected and mentioned that it is a recent problem with the s7 and that it's been escalated.

Same for me as well. It started after one of the updates, because I know it wasn't doing it when I purchased the phone.

Apparently it is a bug that came with the last update. I am using the Google keyboard instead of the default Samsung and it seems to work correctly.

I switched to the Google keyboard and it didn't change anything. I have also followed up with Google support to no avail
