Gosh I've searched high and low and have visited every setting screen I can find with no luck.
What I want, is for when this phone is asleep (you know, hit the power button, screen times out etc) that when a new email arrives, it will vibrate.
I have the default email app set to poll a POP email account every 5 minutes.
Results:
Plugged in and charging: Notifications arrive. The screen stays dark, but I get the vibrate and/or sound. When I turn on the phone the icon is there.
Unplugged: No notifications UNTIL I turn on the phone. Within a couple seconds of turning screen on, the notication icon pops up and vibrate/sound. (Battery is ~ 50%).
This behavior is consistent and repeatable.
Ideas on how to get identical behavior?
