Email notifications

When I get a new email and read it, I'll sometimes get 2 or 3 additional notifications that I have a new email, even though I have already read and deleted it. When I click on the notification, I'm taken to my inbox and the email I've already deleted is back in my inbox marked as unread! Sometimes this will happen 2 or 3 times back to back with the same email. Anyone else have this experience?

Hi is this happening in Gmail or another email account such as Yahoo? This never happens in my Gmail account but does happen in my Yahoo email . I noticed if I read an email and delete it in Yahoo it will come back unread. I have figured out what is causing it, I noticed that sometimes when I check my yahoo mail that it is still in the process of checking or refreshing when I read and or delete an email. When it is finished those emails return.

It's happening with both my Gmail and Yahoo accounts. I think you may be right about the cause though. I'll check it out.
