Email set up

I have just moved from Blackberry to Samsung S4.
I am unable to set up my email as I am getting the message " Authentication failed"
My email server is on POP 3 and using outlook 2003.
Have deleted and set up the email account several times on my phone. It still does not work.
I have tried my yahoo mail account on the S4. This works.

my guess is that you entered your POP settings wrong. i would get away from that protocol if possible.

Q: Why isn't POP3 supported?
A: POP3 is antiquated in many regards and IMAP allows our users far more security and centralization. If you are asking because you are trying to set up Gmail, you should, instead of trying to set up POP3, simply set a forward your mail to your Gmail account.
