Emails gone all of a sudden??

I have a verizon outlook express email account. Never had an issue before but today I go into the native app to check my emails and wouldn't you know, they're gone!? All emails are still on my computer but how do I sync them to get these back? Is there a way to even manually sync to retrieve these emails or am I screwed?

For the record, I can still send/receive emails I just lost the emails I had sitting in my inbox.

I've looked all through the phone and I have no clue....anyone?

anyone?? turns out the web pages I had open in my browser closed and logged me out also. what gives?
