Ok I had a galaxy light phone on Tmobile . Now on Page Plus with Droid mini. On my old phone if I checked my email say at work then got home and use my PC to check and delete those emails if I later used my phone the emails I deleted on my PC were also gone from my phone. BUT not now with the new phone and service. Even after I delete them at home on my PC they stay on the phone. So the phone is storing them on the phone itself as there off the server as I have my PC set to once I download the emails its off the server. This is annoying . I have to go through the phone and delete them off that too? What a pain in the ****. Anything I can do to stop this. OH I am signing in with my phone to the email server and checking for any new emails so at this point I would think the phone would no longer see those emails I deleted on my PC would no longer show up on my phone BUT they do...

A little more information...

Is this a Gmail account, Yahoo, Hotmail or...??

What email app are you using?

Do you know if you're using POP3 or IMAP?

Sounds like you are using POP3 service instead of IMAP. What you describe is typical POP3 behavior. If it were IMAP service everything would sync automatically.

And, I'm guessing that in the incoming server settings of your old phone, there was an option set to 'Sync deletions with server' (or something like that). Likely the new phone's email app lacks the option or it's not enabled. Check your server settings.

Best solution is to get rid of POP3 and use IMAP , if possible, and again, assuming you now use POP3.

Yes its a POP 3 its my home Verizon FIOS email setup. My old phone had an option if I delete the message it delets from server but that works on new phone too but it doesn't I guess you call it sync up after I delete message off the email server from my PC. I don't know if I can set it up other than POP 3 as thats what Verizon supports. At least for PC use. So it sounds like I cant have it the way my old phone worked. My old phone was android 4.2.2 were the Droid Mini is 4.4.4 which is kit Kat I guess. I also have a gamil and yahoo email but they work correctly. Just my Verizon email doesnt work the way I want it too which is POP 3.

I did a bit of Googling and apparently Verizon doesn't do IMAP. Unbelievable! How 1994 of them.

The 'Sync deletions with server' option for POP3 is unreliable. Some email clients don't communicate properly with some POP3 servers. Not much you can do except try a different email app and hope the Verizon email server will listen to it. The only way to know what works is try and see.

It sucks but that's Verizon and POP3 for ya.

Yea after you said IMAP I google it too. Nope verizon wont do it. Well my 2 tear contract ends in August might then switch for the home tv/internet/phone to Time Warners Roadrunner service. Now to go see if they do IMAP. Bummer my old phone didnt have this problem but iam also on a new service so not sure which caused this new problem. I think its the phone. Had to get a new phone when I went from GSM to CDMA phone.

Thanks for the help.
