Emergency/Amber alert message on lockscreen & yellow icon In not. bar (screenshot incl)

So I keep getting this annoying Emergency Alert message with a yellow message box in the notification bar. It makes that long "beeeeeeep" sound you hear when the emergency broadcast system would flash an alert acorss the bottom of your tv screen! Please help me figure this out! Heres the screen shot:

You can change the type of emergency notifications you receive by going to Messaging>Settings>Emergency Alerts.

Yup... those are carrier-delivered but you can turn them off..

Greatly appreciated! I didnt realize that was a local child abduction report untill I read your post and went into settings. If possible could somone chime in and tell me what "imminent extreme alert" and "Imminent severe alert" involve? Thank you!

Extreme alert = Alien Invasion

Yup... those are carrier-delivered but you can turn them off..

You can turn off everything but presidential alerts

The only alert we get in my country is the one reminding you about an overdue carrier bill or that your last payment bounced

I don't seem to even have emergency alerts. I have att note 2----any reason I don't?
