Emergency Calls only

Hey folks. My SIM card is fine and it should be in fine but occasionally my phone disconnects from the network and says Emergency Calls only and then I miss calls etc until i notice. What could be the problem? I have reseated the SIM and will see if it reoccurs.

It may be a problem with the physical hardware for the Sim card. Have you taken it to your carrier?

I hope not because I did get a new SIM in 2012 for use in my old BB and it was cut into microsim format for this phone in Dec.
